Oriental longheaded locust (Acrida cinerea) is an animal species in the Acrididae, arboreal insects, green or brown grasshoppers with elongated head, wings, long hind legs, spending time perched in the bush in forests and agricultural land.

A. cinerea has a predominantly bright green or brown color. The head is square with sharp angles, elongated, sharp tip and ends in a pair of flat and thick antennae. The eyes are elliptical and yellowish brown.

The nape has a triangular flap. The stomach is cylindrical, wide and segmented. Elongated triangular wings with an angle at the top and a sharp tip. The wings cover the entire belly, but are still visible from the side.
