A. perversus has a hard shell with seven tiers, white or yellow with brown or red stripes, the more it has a brighter color to the end, the gate has thick margins that are light colored with dark bands.
The body surface is rough and white or yellow or brown in color. The upper head has a blackish mark. A pair of large and long, erect, black antennas and a light colored hammer tip. The front pair of antennas are shorter and smaller.
Beret amphidromus live arboreal, climbing large and woody trees in wet ecosystems in forests that are rarely disturbed, difficult to find in agricultural land, solitary or in pairs on the same tree.
