Duduki (Uraria lagopodioides)

Duduki (Uraria lagopodioides) is a species of plant in Fabaceae, perennial shrub with woody stems at least at the base, creeping on the ground in farmlands and roadsides, sometimes grown in gardens as an ornamental.

U. lagopodioides has oval leaves, rounded base and tip, a bone in the middle with several pinnate veins, rough surface, dark green with white patches. Petiole short or less than 0.5 cm and green or brownish red.

Compound flowers are spike-shaped, crown is oval, white or red or blue in color. The stalk is long, erect, long and only at the tip of the flower. The crown slowly falls off and leaves behind a stalk that is shaped like a coir or light yellow pad.

Duduki grows in dry grasslands, open forests, trash cans, roadsides, sandy areas and sometimes in deciduous forests, the elevation of 0-1500 meters and does not grow in waterlogged places.
