Kempol bug (Mictis farinulenta)

Kempol bug (Mictis farinulenta) is an animal species in the Coreidae, insects, adults 20-25 mm long and 7-10 mm wide, fat, gray to brown with powdery white, long legs and shoulders the pronotum protrudes into a thorn.

M. farinulenta has a tubular head. A pair of thick, cylindrical antennas, long, the last segment has a white color and black degradation. The shoulders form a separate section and have upward tapering margins.

The abdomen is oval in shape. The legs are stick-shaped, long and have several joints. The hind legs have the largest thighs and are cylindrical in shape, the calves are thickened in the middle and form a thorn-like shape.

Arboreal bugs live in shrubs and trees in karst and loam ecosystems with two seasons. This species feeds on a variety of plants including eucalyptus, acacia and mahogany.
