S. multijuga has even pinnate leaves, 10-35 long and round or square stalks. Young leaves are bright green and old leaves are dark green. Strands have 15-22 pairs, slightly spiked, oblong to oblong-ovate, base and tip rounded or blunt.
The inflorescence collect in panicles at the ends of the branches. The petals are oval in shape. The crown is bright yellow, 5 strands, round inverted egg, nails long.
Fruit pods are flat with thickened edges, wide, rounded ends, have stalks, eventually break.
