Kadalan birah or chestnut-breasted malkoha (Phaenicophaeus curvirostris) is a species of animal in the Cuculidae, bluish-black, gray and rust-red birds, eaters of caterpillars, ants, large insects, crabs, lizards and chicks, lives in forests, shrubs shrubs and meadows.

P. curvirostris has a length of 49 cm and a curved beak. Long tail with a rust-red tip. The crown and nape are gray. The upper body is pale green. The lower body is rust red.
