R. sativus has leaves arranged in a rosette, thick, lyrate with enlarged terminal lobes and smaller lateral lobes, rounded tips and serrated margins.
The flowers are fan-shaped with four spreads, bluish-white with black stripes. The fruit is in the form of a small pod that can be eaten when it is still young.
Lobak have subspecies and four varieties of various shapes, colors and sizes including red, pink, white, gray-black or yellow radishes, with bulbous or elongated roots.
