Dwarf umbrella grass (Cyperus diffusus)

Rumput payung pendek or dwarf umbrella grass (Cyperus diffusus) is a plant species in Cyperaceae, upright grass, umbrella-shaped canopy, grows to form a clump, has a height of up to 50 cm and the top is composed of protective leaves that shade the flower arrangements.

C. alternifolius has a hollow stem without branching, long, triangular linear shape, dark green, hard and firm but elastic.

The leaves are arranged radially and stacked. Ribbon-shaped leaves, green and pointed tip. Spikelet flowers, forming clusters, are greenish brown and emerge from the axil bractea or bractea side. The flowers have stalks and are branched.

This plant is often used as an ornamental plant, potted plant, garden and pond plant. It is generally used as an ornamental water plant and is planted to beautify ponds or water garden landscapes. Leaves are also used as a filler in flower arrangements.
