Fairy fern (Odontosoria chinensis) is a plant species in the Lindsaeaceae, is a fern shrub, green in color and forming a large triangle with fan-shaped sections with many veins, alternate and sorus at the end.

O. chinensis has a cylindrical stalk, erect, brownish green and glabrous. These plants form large colonies that are widely spaced.

This species is usually found on open forest slopes, disturbed areas, landslides, along footpaths or roads, damp and shady places.

This plant is used as a dye and knitting with the method of winding and buffering.
