Bariang (Begonia multangula)

Bariang (Begonia multangula) is a species of plant in the Begoniaceae, shrubs with branched stems, all hairy, flowers in panicles and branching, growing horizontally and vertically on the soil surface or rocks in shady or humid places.

B. multangula has an erect stem, cylindrical, long, soft, branched, whitish green or reddish green and has white hairs. Branching stems will become long stalks and end in a leaf.

The leaves are elliptical, asymmetrical and have long stalks. The veins are centered at the ends of the stalks going in all directions. The upper surface is hairy or hairless, rough and dark green or yellowish in color. The undersurface is hairy or hairless, rough and lighter in color.

The inflorescence grows at the end of a long, branching stalk. Flowers bloom white or yellowish green with a bright yellow sari in the center.
