Damele (Glochidion obscurum) is a species of plant in the Phyllanthaceae, a tree with a height of 5 meters, an upright, cylindrical, woody, branched trunk, linear cracked bark, grooved wood surface, greenish brown color and horizontal roots.

G. obscurum has compound, alternate, oval leaves, 5.5 cm long, 3 cm wide, rounded tip and base, flat edges, pinnate veins, smooth surface, upper side dark green and shiny, lower side pale green and has a 2-3 mm stem.

Flowers appear in the leaf axils, have long stalks, are solindrical and yellowish white in color. The flowers are fan-shaped, yellowish white, the stamens are yellow and the pistils are white.

The fruit is ball-shaped, green in color, has white dew-like hair on the surface and has 6 seeds in circular chambers. The seeds are crescent-shaped and red.

This species grows in hilly and mountainous soil at an elevation of 0-1000 meters above sea level, clay or sandy or limestone soil, hot and drought-resistant areas, teak forests, mahogany forests and others.
