Common tagasta (Tagasta marginella) is a species of animal in the Pyrgomorphidae, grasshoppers are small, green or brown or gray or reddish in color, pointed at the front end, short black antennae, large hind legs and square in shape.
T. marginella has a pointed anterior segment ending in a pair of antennae which are short, cylindrical, sturdy, segmented and black. A pair of large eyes, oval in shape and white or yellow or black or blue or red.
The abdomen is cylindrical in shape and is the same length as the back knee. The hind legs are large, cylindrical or square in shape with sharp corners and the same color as the body.
